Nina was diagnosed to not live past the age of 25. After her dad sold her away, her mother was searching for her for 17 years. 17 years later, Helen has become one of the richest woman in Asia and found out that her daughter is in Haven City. However the jade pendant that she gave her daughter was stolen by Mei Simmons and she fake her identity as Helen's biological daughter in order to be rich. Nina then met up with Helen but both of them could not be reunited due to Mei's obstruction and in the end Helen had mistakenly acknowledged Mei as her biological daughter. However Nina had not given up in reuniting with her mother but it was deemed a difficult feat as Mei managed to keep framing her in the process. In the end, Charles has managed to prove that Nina is Hele's biological daughter but in order to save her mother, she was stabbed by Mei and was in a come for 5 years.
